Makeup as a boomerang

Makeup always comes back like a boomerang - a nightmare or a blessing of previous generations. 

Lately, we can observe how the trends from the past are becoming popular again. Everyone knows that things that were a trend earlier would eventually come back. Matte makeup products have been a big trend in makeup not so long ago. We could see matte lip products in every store, eyeshadows in nude colors were present in every girl’s and boy’s makeup bag. Matte makeup was just a general tendency.

In the past couple of months, it is easy to observe that makeup trends from the 2000s and 2010s are returning in the upgraded version. Metallic eyeshadows became a trend again. We can see it on many girls' eyelids. Silver, blue, and colorful eyeshadows in general are very common right now. It is noticeable that more glitter is better. Colorful eyeliners in varied shapes and patterns became desirable again. Makeup became more fun and careless. There are no more rules anymore just as it was in the 2010s. 

These makeup trends started to appear on the cover of fashion magazines and also on fashion campaigns and TV commercials. Another widespread thing is a gloss on the lips. Most makeup brands created various versions of that product. We can see enormous amounts of different types of that product on every makeup website.

But the cherry on top is thin brows. This is a nightmare for victims of the trend which was based on  growing brows again through the years after constantly pulling them out. On the other hand, it is good news for these people who stayed true to the previous trend and were just silently waiting for its big comeback. The era of very thick and bushy brows is slowly going out of fashion, but it is still very popular among younger people. 

Thanks to the return of old makeup trends, makeup is very diverse and interesting. Everyone can find something for them.
